Anke Ames is an artist, musician. Accordion, violin, but mainly the viola, viola. Her music polarizes, it is improvised and more an expression of her feelings than an entertainment for the audience. Her poetry is equally bulky. The lyrics are about illness, a bipolar, manic-depressive disorder, psychiatric stays, mania, depression, or are declarations of love to life or music. Anke describes her relationship to the people around her as "eating shadows". Her role of the scapegoat, the black sheep, drives her into depression. Or into the mania, which can be something very beautiful, she would not be intoxicated. And so in the film we follow the thoughts of the artist, let us be enchanted or disturbed by her texts, her music and pictures.
